Post Qualification Experience

Building Surveyors

1. MHKIS (Building Surveying Division) or equivalent; OR
2. MHKIA or equivalent; AND
3. Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent

One year post-qualification experience in building surveying

Structural Engineers

1. Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineering (Structural or Civil Discipline), elected after 5 December 1975; or have qualification being recognized by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers as equivalent.  AND
2. Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or  equivalent.

Three years post-qualification experience in structural engineering

Survey Officers

1. A Diploma/Higher Certification in Building Surveying/Architectural or Building Studies/Building Technology; or an Associate Degree in Building Surveying/Architectural Studies from a recognized Hong Kong university/institute, or equivalent AND
2.  Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or  equivalent.

Technical Officers

1. A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering from a Hong Kong Polytechnic/Polytechnic  University, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or technical institute/college, or equivalent AND
2. Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or  equivalent.

Assistant Engineers

1. A Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control/ Computer/Mechanical/Civil Engineering from a recognized  Hong Kong University or equivalent;  AND
2. Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or  equivalent.

At least one year relevant working experience in the railway industry.

Graduate Engineers

1. A bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control/ Computer/Mechanical/Civil Engineering from a recognized  Hong Kong University or equivalent;  AND
2. Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or equivalent.
